Trevor Project's A Totally Funny...Whatever fund-raiser, May 20 in NYC

The Trevor Project, a nonprofit group that promotes acceptance of gay and questioning youth and works to prevent suicide among gay teens, will hold its fifth annual A Totally Funny...Whatever fund-raiser on Friday, May 20, in New York City. The night of comedy will include a presentation of the annual Trevor Hero Award to Tony award-winning playwright Tony Kushner (Angels in America) for his work benefiting gay and lesbian youths. The fund-raiser also will include performances by Kate Clinton, Jackie Hoffman, Sarah Jones, and Martha Wash. Drag star Charles Busch will host, and special guests will include Michael Cunningham, author of The Hours, and Carson Kressley of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. The event will be held at 6:30 P.M. at Crobar nightclub, 530 W. 28th St. The comedy performance begins at 8 P.M. VIP tickets, which include a preshow reception, priority seating, and a gift bag, are $175. General admission tickets are $100.
