New York Times best-selling author Jodi Picoult sat down to write her latest novel, Sing You Home, because she wanted to bring attention to what she perceives to be "the last civil right we have yet to grant in the U.S." But the book became personal for her when her son came out while she was writing the book.
Sing You Home, the story of a lesbian couple struggling to start a family, debuted at number 1 on the NYT best-seller list earlier this month. Now Picoult kicks off the TrevorSpace book club's chat series with a discussion about her life, the book, and gay rights. Scroll down to join the chat, beginning at 12 noon Pacific time.
