FRANK SPINELLI GRRR X390 (PUBLICITY) | ADVOCATE.COM

Dr. Frank Spinelli is the former clinical director of HIV services at New York City's Cabrini Medical Center. Today he serves the community in a more comprehensive capacity as a board certified internist with a large private practice in Manhattan focusing on HIV-positive individuals and gay men. Dr. Spinelli is also an associate clinical professor at New York Medical College.

Dr. Spinelli is the monthly health care columnist for The Advocate, and is now the host of Advocate.com’s “Ask the Doctor,” a segment that focuses on health issues relevant to gay men today. He also appears regularly on Sirius satellite radio’s top-rated OutQ channel with host Larry Flick. Dr. Spinelli maintains a full lecture schedule during which he addresses gay men’s health and lifestyle issues.

Dr. Spinelli is the author of The Advocate Guide to Gay Men's Health and Wellness, published in 2008. He lives in Manhattan and is currently at work on his next book.

In addition to primary medical care, Dr. Spinelli offers a variety of procedures, particularly for gay men living with HIV. “Lipodystrophy syndrome is a condition I feel very strongly about. Facial wasting secondary to antiretroviral medication and HIV is not exclusively about one’s appearance. It can also greatly affect self-esteem and how someone sees himself within the community.”

Dr. I am love with my boyfriend. We make love several times a week but I just can't get enough of his semen. My question to you is...What are the benefits (pros and cons) to swallowing my boyfriends semen? Is there any harm to doing this? BTW, we are both negative. Thank you

My name is Roger Walcker. I am an "out amd proud" gay Christian Architcte. Since July 2006, I have HIV+. I met Dr. Spanelli in Portland two months ago. He spoke to about 80 of us about gay men and HIV. He spoke eloquently about his gay HIV+ patients. He said he loves his guys. In Portland last Sunday we had the 2009 AIDS Walk. Me and 11,000 others walked 3 1/2 miles. I proudly put n the red T-shirt that said: "Screw Stigma. I am an Oregonian and I positively love this place." We lead the AIDS Walk. Portland is a very progressive citu. We elected Sam Adams, a gay man, our mayor. We have large GLBT and HIV / AIDS communities. Both my 2 doctors at Legacy Good Smaritan Hospital are gay and out with long-trem partners. I love my life. I love my city and my state. I just adore Barack Obama. I am thrilled he won the Nobel Peace Prize. The tide of history is definately running to same-sex marriage and Federal and state laws to protect LGBT and HIV / AIDS individuals. Sincerely. Roger Walcker
