Jerusalem "Donkey Pride" Shot Down

JERUSALEM DONKEY X390

Jerusalem Deputy mayor Yitzhak Pindrus’ plea to have a derisive Donkey Parade running alongside the annual gay pride parade was shot down by Police Wednesday.

His idea was to illustrate the “bestial nature” of gays on a pride march, while greeting them with live donkeys at the beginning of the route.

The Jerusalem police offered Pindrus a compromise, allowing cardboard donkey cutouts. Even though Pindrus accepted this offer, he plans on appealing the decision to higher courts.

Additional security has been ordered for Thursday’s parade, which is estimated to have 3,000 participants.

Ah, Every country has its bigots. Israel is quite progressive, and I am proud to say that as an Israeli-born American. A lot of gay Palestinians come to our gay clubs and organizations because they don't have that freedom in the West Bank or Gaza area. The deputy mayor is an ass, mildly put, but look at our country and count how many asses we have here. America is also quite progressive, and even though we have our hurdles, we will achieve equality one day or another. Support of Israel is crucial because of freedom for gay men and women. Many gay men and women serve in our military and are openly gay/lesbian. Just food for thought...

So the Mayor of Jerusalem wants to parade his family on Gay Pride Parade Day? lol! What an ass. Why do so many people think countries like Israel, Britain, Ireland, Spain, Canada and Mexico are so progressive with their acceptance of gay marriage and gay people in general? It's just that the US is that far behind everyone else.... along with Russia, Iran, Iraq, Syria, N/S Korea, et.al.

Seems like there is a lot of hatred being directed at Israel these days. Wonder if it might have something to do with the IDF's history of horrifying attrocities against, well, against just about every one of their neighbors.

Jerusalem Deputy mayor Yitzhak Pindrus won't need a cardboard cut-out or even a live animal to have an ASS PARADE! He'll just need to show up. Find out what club or association he belongs to and then protest them at just the right time. They'll bitchslap his ass back in line pretty fast.

1-This is the mayor of Jerusalem, famous for being the capital of Isreal but also for being where Jesus rode in on a donkey, a sign of peace and humbleness. To have the donkey parade, he would not only be insulting Christians but also a big part in major Jewish history, and a Biblical symbol. 2- I'm sure the donkeys are probably thinking "man, we have better things to do than to help you with you're immature little games". 3- This is about as offensive as having a Nazi parade outside a synagouge or having a KFC parade next to a Black Pride parade.

"allan from malibu adjacent," I hope that you’re a troll. I really would hate to believe that someone seriously subscribes to the ancient myth of some vast "Zionist conspiracy" as if it were fact. Are you really Glenn Beck, “allan from malibu adjacent?” Israel, like all other countries in this world (including the U.S.), does struggle with human rights issues. This Deputy Mayor is a bigot - no different than the multitude of politicians in the U.S. that use our human rights as campaign issues to stoke public homophobia and gain more fear-based votes. His way of thinking is as antiquated as "allan from malibu adjacent." And if a truly archaic anti-Semitic myth such as “allan’s” still lives in modern society, than we definitely have a long road towards LGBT equality ahead of us. And, "allan," if William is "stupid for going to any country that is against gays,” then I assume “malibu adjacent” actually means Canada – because the United States can easily be defined as being “against gays.”

william in chicago. I think you protesteth too much. First of all I think you're stupid for going to any country that is against gays. I don't care how interesting it is. Especially during these very difficult times where Americans are to put it mildly; disliked. There are many comments made here about Israel and Moslem states. These comments present a wide spectrum of hate, love, and every other emotion I can think of. Everyone has their own opinion. I resent those in Israel who persecute Palestinians. This has been going on for too long, and finally the world has Israel's attention. The persecution is for land and money. With Jews in the U.S. that I have known, the only thing that interests them is what they can get from others for their own benefit. Some are quite entertaining, others are quite intelligent and disarming. Many are just interested in money, gold, wall street, banking which has resulted in the worst collapse of our society since the great depression.
