Utah the USA's Online Porn Capital

Utah not only led the charge with donations to pass California's constitutional same-sex marriage ban -- the state also leads the pack with the highest level of online pornography usage , as measured per 1,000 broadband subscribers.

In fact, traditionally "red" states take the top three spots in a study published last week by Harvard business professor Benjamin Edelman in the Journal of Economic Perspectives. Alaska is close behind, followed by Mississippi.

California is way down the list at number 39.

At the time the study was conducted, the 27 states that had already constitutionally banned same-sex marriage (prior to the 2008 election) boasted 11% more porn subscribers than states that have not yet enacted or have yet to enact antigay constitutional amendments.

Out of every 1,000 broadband users in the state of Utah, 5.47 are porn subscribers, according to the report.

I bet most of that is gay porn. And not surprising... considering the amount of closeted mormons out there. I lived in Utah and I sure had a good time with the mormons ;-)

So we have... UTAH - more Mormons than we care to know ALASKA - the Palin Pentecostals MISSISSIPPI - the Southern Baptists So I guess "What a person does in the privacy of their own bedroom is OK" covers this. The Bible talks about "remove the board in your own eye before you condem the one with a splinter in his eye." Growing up in the church we joked about the sermons and I remember the saying "Do as I say, Don't do as I do."
