Tila Tequila to Obama: End DADT

Bisexual reality TV star Tila Tequila -- who once dubbed herself the reason the California supreme court ruled to allow same-sex marriage throughout the state -- now has her sights set on overturning the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

The star of A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila took to her blog this week to write about Dan Choi, "a hero to many of us in the human rights movement," who was kicked out of the military after publicly announcing that he is gay.

"Being an openly bisexual woman myself and having a lot of close gay friends, I have always HATED that policy," Tila wrote.

Gay activists have turned up the heat on President Barack Obama to overturn the ban on gays serving openly in the military. This week, activist Dan Savage called on Obama to put a halt on kicking people out of the military until DADT could be overturned.

"We are here, we are queer, and it's about time that the military gets used to it!!! Discrimination is so 2000," Tequila continued. "And if the President doesn't listen, he'll feel the wrath of 3,833,688 of Tequila's closest MySpace friends!"

This is another fake Hip Hop attempt to do, I dunno, something. Whoever thought she was a good idea at having her rep us is clearly RETARDED. Of course it would have to come from Hip Hop people since they can't even stand out front and be counted. We instead get Kanye and his bearded lady friend and all these FAKE STORIES ABOUT GAYS AND BISEXUALS. Excuse me, Hip Hop, please start coming out of your closets already. It's bad enough we have to endure your insecurities as a group at the polls when you casually take away our rights and have some Donnie McDonald character beat us down because HE has found the fricking "Lord", but now you stick some pom poms in this.......girl's.........hands and think that we're all going to have a great wonderful tea party. No. She's just as bad as that swine flu Perez Hilton and his ridiculous sidekick, Lady Caca.

I suppose she meant well and it's nice that we have someone famous rooting for the gays but it's hard for people to take her seriously.

Even if a lot of people don't like her at least she keeps writing about it and staying informed about the issues which is more than I can say for some people in the GLBT comm. Like it or not people know who she is and is a celebrity even if only from reality-tv. It isn't that hard to scroll through if you don't like the person.
