India Gay Sex Ruling Challenged

Last week's landmark ruling by India's Delhi high court that struck down a 148-year-old law banning gay sex has been challenged in court -- by an astrologer, reports the BBC .

Suresh Kaushal filed a petition in the country's supreme court asking for the British colonial-era law to be reinstated. Kaushal said that the ancient scriptures and values of India did not permit homosexuality, and argued that the recent court judgment would contribute to the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Chief Justice K. Balakrishnan asked the government and campaign groups to respond to the petition.

Brad and Jim need to read something besides the laughable gay rewrites via gay history and gay theology going on, all discredited. Sham research with not an ounce of credibility. There's always been oddities and freak shows, any number of which can outnumber gay impacts. SO 1,000 years from now, your brother gay desendents will be reading some absurd book/document by some gay pedophile agendaer on how his world needs to redefine gay pedophilia as noble because in the 20th/21st century Michael Jackson's huge following proved our civilization held gay pedophiles in high esteem! HA! That's exactly the same laugh the typical and ordinary Romans had about the oddballs in their world 1,000 years from then, thinking about there must be someone dumbass enough to be buffaloing, aka you two goofy biased gay agenda geniuses!

You're right, Jim. Mainstream hostility towards homosexuals started with Judeo-Christianity in the West and Islam in the Mid-East. The great civilizations in Greece, Rome and Mesopotamia rightfully regarded homosexuality as just one of the natural variations of human sexuality. Nothing more, nothing less.

Jim, this line of yours " ... To the best of my knowledge anti same sex lies did not enter into world culture until the judea, christian, muslim religions entered the scene. Many ancient societies held gay or lesbian people in high esteem. ... " is total bullshit. Seriously, how about a Gay Rule, that is that gays MUST read one mainstream historical book or document for evey gay agenda rewrite of history book or document they read. That way the brainwashing and ridiculous indoctrination won't be as severe! While gay existed as long a humans existed, for the same non genetic environmental choice reasons then as now. there is just NO reasonable history that allows for gays being held in high esteem by mainstream civilizations! Taking the occasional oddity would be like archeologists taking gay pedophile Michael Jackson as a highly esteemed 20th/21st century figure, whereby our civilization held gay pedophiles in high esteem! Ridiculous!

To the best of my knowledge anti same sex lies did not enter into world culture until the judea, christian, muslim religions entered the scene. Many ancient societies held gay or lesbian people in high esteem. Considering them to be in touch with both the male and female aspect of the divine. These are small minded people, bent on controlling others. Who also act like dry drunks .....cough, cough! ..... george bush, and I am not so sure he is dry! In my honest opinion this type of behavior is a mental illness that needs treatment.

When the LGBT Indian community here in NYC hear about the ruling, we all gathered at Stonewall within a few hours notice to celebrate this landmark event. We all knew that it can be challenged, yet we all still were soo happy. I think the fact that the ruling was made in the first place is a big deal. We, the LGBT, community world wide, now have to continue to fight for our rights as human beings. Hopefully this challenge will be short lived and unfounded. I think it is just as frivolous as that case in India brought against Richard Gere and Shilpa Shetty for lude conduct by making out in front of a crowd of truck drivers. That happened at an event to promote AIDS awareness and prevention. There are always going to stupid morons in all places, we just need to educate them and the public and fight for our rights.

Doesn't this astrologer have better things to do...like, I dunno...looking at stars! I am eternally baffled by people who incessantly oppose something that in no way affects them. How does two consenting gay adults not being persecuted under the law affect the religious leaders in New Delhi anyway? What a bunch of sychophantic dickheads...
