Police Reports Contradict LDS Church

Security guards for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints cited the "unwanted" behavior of kissing and hugging as the reason that they detained two gay men on church property last week in Salt Lake City, according to the police report for the incident.

The report, which TheSalt Lake Tribune made available online, appeared to contradict statements from the LDS Church in the wake of the detainment and ticketing of Matt Aune and his partner, Derek Jones, for trespassing on Main Street Plaza near the LDS temple on Thursday.

LDS spokeswoman Kim Farah had said in a statement that the men were "asked to stop engaging in inappropriate behavior just as any other couple would have been." She said police were called when the men "became argumentative and used profanity and refused to leave the property."

However, the police report does not suggest that church security guards asked Aune and Jones to modify their behavior in order to remain on the plaza. The report says the men were told directly that "they need to leave [church] property for the behavior and that [it] is unwanted."

LGBT activists in Salt Lake City organized a kiss-in (pictured) at Temple Square on Sunday in order to protest the detainment of Aune and Jones.

I'm gay and believe in equal rights, but I disapprove of going in front of a place like the salt lake temple and kissing my boyfriend. It would show the simplest of respects not to. It apples to doing it in front of children as well I believe. It isn't necessary but we all have to do what we can to relate to others in this world.

Sean, it's pretty obvious that homosexual kissing on a Church grounds that considers homosexuality immoral is indefensible. So why are you trying to defend it with ridiculous blather?! Grow up!! Or maybe gays just need to grow a pair and try this outrageously insulting activity needlessly attacking a Church on some muslim Church grounds in the states, or with a bigger set of balls even in some other country, and see what happens!

So, does the LDS Church recommend we put an end to "Kiss & Rides" across the nation because kissing of any kind...especially state sanctioned... is wrong?

Isn't it interesting how gay agendaers and gay activists are so guilt ridden about their wrong choice per homosexuality that they are compelled to go on church grounds to have various forms of kiss ins or makeout sessions? Seriously, can the gay agenda as cause get any more sophomoric than to try to defend these arrested development types?! This is just more proof that homosexuality is a mental disorder that his highly pathological! Gay fellas and fellerettes, if you must have a vice, then do like everyone else and just have a vice, but do get over yourselves, plz!!
