    Don Charles, First of all, we took back the word Queer. Secondly, I have no idea if it has any negative connotation in India, since the meaning of words can vary greatly from one country to the next.

    It's really sad, that LGBT Indians are celebrating decriminalization of their identities by inviting the public to think of them as "queer". This is undoubtedly exported ignorance from Western Gay radicals, but it's hard to believe that no Gay person in Mumbai is aware of that word's negative connotations.
