GOP Staffer: "All Pornography Is Homosexual Pornography"

MICHAEL SCHWARTZ X390 (GRAB) | ADVOCATE.COM

Michael Schwartz, the chief of staff for Republican senator Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, announced what he called a surefire way for social conservatives to turn their preadolescent sons off pornography on Friday. He said parents should teach their sons that all pornography is “homosexual,” because “boys at that age have less tolerance for homosexuality than just about any other class of people.”

Schwartz presented his pornography-as-kryptonite theory at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., where he joined colleagues from the Family Research Council and the Heritage Foundation for a panel called “The New Masculinity.”

According to the blog Think Progress, “A few minutes into his speech, Schwartz moved to the topic of pornography, calling it a ‘blight’ and a ‘disease’ that parents’ ‘sons’ would encounter. Noting that he was about to get ‘politically incorrect,’ Schwartz said that it is his ‘observation that boys at that age have less tolerance for homosexuality than just about any other class of people.’”

Schwartz connected this observation to a comment made by his “ex-gay” friend Jim Johnson, founder of Beyond Rejection ministries, as he wove the ideas into a broader strategy to help parents eradicate pornography from their sons’ lives.

“And one of the things that he said to me,” continued Schwartz, according to Think Progress, “that I think is an astonishingly insightful remark. He said, ‘all pornography is homosexual pornography because all pornography turns your sexual drive inwards.’ Now think about that. And if you, if you tell an 11-year-old boy about that, do you think he’s going to want to go out and get a copy of Playboy? I’m pretty sure he’ll lose interest. That’s the last thing he wants.”

“That’s a good comment. That’s a good point. And it’s a good thing to teach young people,” said Schwartz.

Senator Coburn's Aid said at the Conservative Caucus, said All porn is gay porn because if you are a straight male watching straight porn, it will turn you gay because all of a sudden you start imagining you are the woman in the porn and want the guy to do to you what he is doing to the woman and OMG :::poof::: you turn gay. That's Republican logic for you. It could not be that if you were straight to begin with, you would not be identifying with the woman in the scene. Reminds me of when Trent Lott said a few years back, if we make it okay to be gay, all men will be gay. Want to explain that one Trent? Maybe the GOP stands for GAY OLD PARTY!

Considering the recent incident in Congress where a conservative member decided to make use of his voice and insulted the Office of the President and this misguided crier, I am beginning to have serious doubts whether complete Freedom of Speech is such a good thing for a country. Dissemination of malinformation should not be part of it.

This guy is stupid, and I can assure him boys interested in sex are not stupid. They know the difference between homo and hetero even if Mr. Schwartz doesn't.

...just like all hurricanes are caused by homosexuality... ...and all earthquakes. This reminds me of an interview I saw about 15 or 20 years ago and the reporter was asking about the southern redneck's views on homosexuality and got the usual spewing of such ignorant thoughts. But just to keep the interview balanced, the reporter then asked, "So what are your views on heterosexuality then?" "We're against that too," came the immediate answer. The reporter was stunned for a second, but then continued, "You're against heterosexuality also?" "I think so, but what exactly is 'heterosexuality?" These examples give us a clue about the dearth of brain cells we are dealing with.

It reminds me when I would visit my brother and hear him say to his children "that is fem" when the children watched any television that wasn't sports. Mr. Schwartz makes an interesting comment when he says: All pornography is homosexual pornography. Free homosexual porn is almost non-existent on the internet, but heterosexual porn male plowing female butt and all other aspects of heterosexual sex is free for viewing in little action video streams from around the world around the clock..
