50 Cent: Kanye and Gaga the “Gay Tour”

GAGA, WEST, 50 CENT TRYPTICH X390 / Advocate.com

Rapper 50 Cent had some choice words about Kanye West and his relationship with the gay community in a radio interview earlier this week, telling radio host Angie Martinez that the Kanye West/Lady Gaga “Fame Kills” tour should really be dubbed the “Gay Tour.”

50 Cent claimed he was calling it the gay tour because that’s how he’d heard Gaga describe it, but Martinez corrected him, telling the rapper Gaga has simply prepared West before hitting the road by saying she has a huge gay following.

“What did he say? Me too?” Cent responded.

The rapper further dug his hole: "Kanye's cool with the gay folk. I have nothing against them, but he's cool with them. He goes and drops his video off to them… Ellen. Ellen DeGeneres. He went there to premiere his video. He's conscious of the gay community and wants them to buy his CD."

The West/Gaga tour is seen by many as an unlikely pairing, and West's fan appeal took a hit when he stole the microphone from MTV Video Music Award winner Taylor Swift at the show a few weeks ago and essentially said that Beyoncé had been robbed of the award.

Fiddy's comments are way less stupid than other rappers of late. I didn't find this to be the most homo-phobic of comments and when u take in the fact it is GaGa and Kayne who supports gays, designs for LV and dates a woman who looks as though she should be on RuPauls's Drag Race. Some straights are going to find this tour a little gay. Which I would have loved to have gone but now is cancelled. Most likely to the more offensive antics of Mr. West.

RandomX856, some of these "thugs" ain't thugs at all. They're closet cases playing the role to protect their sales.

Keep dreaming, N. D. Nile. The truth of the matter is, homosexuales are still bashed in the rap community. You think its fake, it is not. Some of these thugs wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet in your head if word got out that you were gay.

50 Cent looks like an overgrown toddler and sounds like one, too (seriously, rhyming "club" with "bub"?) so it's not really a surprise to discover he has that mindset.

Remember back in elementary schoool, we you had a crush on that cute boy but you were too scared to admit it, you usually picked on him as a way of just being in his presence and directing your emotions somehow, since you couldn't articulate your feelings fully. This is how 50 Cent is reacting to Kanye. He wants him soooooo bad, but he just can't come out and say it because he hasn't done the internal work. Call Kanye a jerk (and he is, most days) but at least he's *trying* to get more comfortable with his true sexual identity.

Ever since 50 Cent and boxer Floyd Mayweather broke up (don't think we didn't know, you two) they've both reverted to being bitter, closeted, homophobic little thug wannabes. So sad. Poor guy needs some d@#*!
