Bush Takes Motivational Speaker Gig

GEORGE W. BUSH 200909 X390 (GETTY) | ADVOCATE.COM

Former president George W. Bush is scheduled to appear at a motivational speakers’ series that bills him among “America’s foremost success experts.”

Bush, who tried to motivate legislators to ban same-sex marriage in 2004, will join other speakers such as Gen. Colin Powell, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, and NFL veteran Terry Bradshaw for a Get Motivated! business seminar in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 26, according to Talking Points Memo.

“The all-day event next week will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena,” reports TPM. “Tickets are apparently $19. That's not per person -- that's per office.”

The ex-president will also speak at a Get Motivated! seminar in San Antonio on December 2.

Is there a 'Dub'ya for Dummies' book out there somewhere I could get to help fathom this whole concept. The whole meaning of the words 'success' and 'motivation' have just been raped from my mind and I feel at a loss. What is one to do??? If getting DUI's, stealing elections, invading countries illegally and depriving citizens of civil liberties is considered 'motivational' and 'success', why dosn't Osama come out of hiding and give us another speech? Isn't that where 'Dub'ya' gets most of his plays from?

You've gotta love it. People pay $30,000 per couple to hear President Obama speak and Bush only commands $19---per office! Wow. I guess it is indicative of George Bush's IQ relative to our current President. Bush created such a mess in our country how could he possibly be tapped as a "success" expert?? PAHHHH LEEASE.....
