Man Arrested for Brewing Coffee Naked

Eric Williamsonx390 (Screengrab) | Advocate.com

A Springfield, Va., man was arrested late Monday on charges of indecent exposure after a neighbor reported she saw him brewing coffee in the nude. The case has ignited a civil liberties brouhaha in the community.

Eric Williamson, 29, maintains that he was unaware he could be seen through the windows of his private home. A neighbor says her concern is fueled by the school bus stop within view of the windows.

Police are currently seeking additional witnesses to the nude brewing.

In my honest opinion, if you watch the news anchorman in the video, you can see that it's practically impossible to see inside the door or even the tiny above sink window. So as long as the door was closed, those little window panes in it, and the kitchen window, are NOT enough viewing exposure for anyone to see him unless they were TRYING to see into his apartment. We should be allowed to walk through our homes inside nude if we choose to, if we cannot smoke, drink, walk nude, or have sex with another consenting adult in the privacy of our own homes, then why in God's name do we even bother living inside a dwelling in the first place? I think perhaps this woman was either intimidated by this man's appearance and long-haired, fearing him a druggie (which would be stereotyping madame!) or an exhabitionist (which if he was INSIDE in private wouldn't be the case). Now they want to canvas the neighborhood and schools looking for more eye witnesses, NO WAY, that's called a WITCH HUINT!

Mrs. Kravitz needs to get her cougar on. He is a good looking guy and methinks even school children understand that people have flesh under their clothes. Of course, let's all remember that in the Victorian era the table cloths hung to the floor, lest anyone see all the way up the table legs. Freaking healthcare system is in a crisis and this is what people are worried about.

Americans are absolutely out of their minds. This is such a blatant waste of police time, money and resources. This would be laughed out of the press oanywhere where people had, at the least, the smallest amount of common sense.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on this topic about 10 year ago. The case involved a man that walked around naked with the curtains not drawn. The high court basically ruled that unless he was "exhibiting" himself, nudist in your home was a protected right. Assuming this guy has a decedent (pun intended) attorney, the case will be dismissed.

I think that anyone who looks in the window of someone else's private residence deserves to see anything and everything--up to and including full frontal nudity. When you cannot dress as you wish within the confines of your own home, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with society.

All too often people are quick to jump the gun and call the authorities. If she'd simply knocked on the man's door and told him he was visible from the street by casual passers-by, then taxpayer dollars wouldn't have been wasted by his useless arrest. It's analogous to my neighbor having his music up too loud. It violates my personal space but I'll go ask him politely to turn it down. If that doesn't work... THEN take it up a notch. I also believe a person has a reasonable expectation of privacy in their own home. Maybe he does need to buy curtains or blinds. Personally I agree with other posters: if he wants to continue his visible a.m. rituals, he is more than welcome to be MY neighbor.

This woman must be in Jail... This Bitch has a problem. Who cares if this guy is in his home naked. She must saw something that she liked it but can not touch it. The Police force is crazier to follow this story.
