Did Star Mag Screw Over Candis Cayne?

1 PIXEL GIF | ADVOCATE.COM

Candis Cayne is known for her rockin’ body — and the trans actress proved it last month when she and Mariah Carey were both photographed wearing the same dress at different events, their figures almost identical.

CANDIS CAYNE MARIAH CAREY BEFORE

But when Star Magazine ran the photos in one of those side-by-side, “who wore it better” spreads, the picture of Candis has been significantly altered. Her figure and face had been doctored to make her look bigger, and over the picture of Mariah Carey were the words, “Rocked it.”

Cayne posted both pictures on her Facebook page and wrote, “OK! So Star mag, put the pics of me and Mariah in the mag, but distorted my picture to make me look fatter then her, and then said she rocked the pic more because she was more toned then me!!!!!!!!!! Shady (but gorge) this is the real pic........ wait till you see there doctored one.”

The two pictures of Candis are not the same photo. They were taken at different times. Notice the background. Notice the placement of her hand on her clutch. Notice how her foot pokes out of the front of her dress. Notice how her hair is different in each photo. Candis would only have a case her if it was the exact same photo, but it is not. Her foot moved more forward in the Star photo could have naturally made her hips look wider. We are not comparing apples to apples here. If the Star did any altering to their photo, it would be hard to tell since we are not looking at the same photos.

Michael, when you post a comment, you show us how much you care. You show us you care more than 99.99 percent of the people reading this story because you stopped to ask that question. So yes, it's obvious that you care very much. You're a sad little man, Michael. Maybe you should get a life instead of obsessing over stories about pictures in tabloids.
