This year proved to a financially trying one for Annie Leibovitz, which might explain why the lesbian photographer has reportedly shot Britney Spears for her upcoming Candie’s ad campaign.

Hollywood Life reports that the shoot took place on December 10 on the Paramount Pictures lot in Hollywood.

According to the website, “Annie snapped the pop star in various stages of undress” as Spears danced to music by Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Prince.

Spears has been the spokewoman for Candie’s, a line of shoes, apparel, accessories, and fragrances now sold exclusively at Kohl’s, since March 2009.

Leibovitz, best known for her spreads in Vanity Fair and Vogue as well as her iconic photos of musicians for Rolling Stone, was sued in July by an art finance company that had lent the photographer $24 million. According to the Telegraph, Leibovitz used the rights to her photography catalog and two homes as collateral to obtain the loan. The lawsuit was dropped in September, and she was given additional time to repay the loan.
