@Teddy C NOT COOL MAN! If you want to go post hateful and hurtful comments like these, go to the WBC website, I'm sure you'll find lots of new hateful friends there. Gaga is about love and accepting yourself, and if you don't like that, then don't listen to her music. But please, stop ruining it for other people with your bigotry crap. You;re only hurting others' feelings, and that is definitely something we don't need in this world. Freaks need a voice, and it's because of people like you that so many of us end up depressed and hateful of ourselves. So please, NO MORE HATE!!!!

@ JustAReader Dude, nothing about homosexuality is sinful. It doesn't matter if you have the feelings or act on them, it is still perfectly OK!! Love should not be limited to gender, and I am very sad to hear that you are restricting yourself by conforming to what society and some religious group wants you to do. I hope that you will see the true light some day, and embrace yourself. Don't believe that you can't be who you were born as. BE PROUD!

His church & his people are the biggest examples of hypocrisy that have ever existed! It just amazes me how the Christian Evangelists ALWAYS feel it necessary to condemn homosexuals and people that are "different" in their eyes! The only eyes that matter in this world are God's. HE is the one who created us and ONLY HE is the one that can ultimately judge us and I don't think there is anyone in the world that would say that he would HATE ANY of his creations! We are here to lead our OWN lives and NO-ONE has the right to judge or tell anyone that the way they live their life is wrong! We are all here to LOVE one another and exist to further grow and prosper as human beings on this planet NOT to sit and waste our time pointing out the SINNERS! Let GOD do his job and take care of that. SO to all of the bible toting hypocrits out there, please live YOUR life the way you want to and let others LIVE theirs!!! Quit wasting time on petty issues that you have NO control over!!! AMEN!!

Wow. That's new Freddie Phelps...God Hates Lady GaGa. For such an advocate of free speech, your vocabulary is seriously limited. Free Speech was put into place for the free exchange of ideas. Clearly, as many others have eluded to already, he is fighting against a performer who also is exercising her right to the free exchange of ideas. Does anyone else find this completely ironic. Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church, pioneers in their own minds of the free speech concept, are protesting free speech! So Mr. Phelps and family, I ask you this. Should we just change the Constitution to say Freedom of Westboro Speech? I ask this because your idea of freedom is severely enslaving.

In time, God will deal with Fred Phelps and his cult. If Phelps were truly a Christian, he would understand we are no longer held to the laws of Moses, and Jesus never uttered a word about homosexuality. Rather he lived his life among the outcasts of the day. Someone said, “Phelps is led by Satan himself, to mislead, confuse and misguide magnitudes on not only homosexuality, but other Biblical issues as well.” Absolutely true. I’m a faithful Catholic and I know many strong Protestants. We are all agreed that Phelps is a seriously evil man and is filled with a spirit of hatred. However, please don’t confuse what he says with real Christianity. Phelps has about a dozen members of his little group but the media loves him and uses him to smear all Christians. The same person also said, “Jesus never uttered a word about homosexuality.” Well yes and no. Jesus did not mention homosexuality specifically but he maintained the moral truths of the Mosaic law in Mark 7 and condemned fornication, adultery and licentiousness. Now, unless we suppose that Jesus believed in Jewish same-sex marriage, we’d have to say that Jesus also taught that all sex outside of marriage is a sin. Unless you suppose that Jesus taught that two men could get married, then adultery and fornication would have to cover ALL sexual acts outside of marriage, not just heterosexual ones. The same person also said, “rather (Jesus) lived his life among the outcasts of the day. Well not really. Jesus associated with both the rich and poor, the wise and the foolish, the saints and the sinners. What the person who wrote this missed is the reason WHY Jesus associated with the outcasts of his day. When asked why he ate with sinners, Jesus said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick do. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance” (Luke 5:31) Jesus did not approve of sin but associated with sinners to heal them. If we suppose, as this poster obviously does, that the “sick” in this context are people ensnared in homosexuality, then yes, Jesus is there with you as a physician, as a healer and as a friend. He says, “go and sin no more” and offers his heart to us all, just as he did for me. I was involved in the homosexual world for many years before coming back to the Church. We don’t have to be perfect. We all still sin and no, I’m not straight. But I’m not gay anymore either. This Phelps rascal does not speak for Jesus, but Jesus also does not want us to hurt ourselves in homosexual behavior. He still loves us very much no matter how much of this that we do, but he does not want us to keep on doing this. I know it’s hard, and the process is never straight, but he gives us enough grace and support along the way.

Those who state "I know the Bible say homosexuality is a sin, bla bla" have got it all wrong. The Bible states "Thou shalt not lie with a man AS with a woman". This does not prohibit homosexuality (orientation) but refers directly to mimicking penetrative sex (anal sex). (See, we ARE equal! We can mimic the act of procreation! What a load of dung, pun intended, as we ARE talking about playing in sewage.) The Bible references same-gender unions - the most known being David & Jonathan. "A love surpassing even the love of women"; "A love which found favor in God's eyes". Soldiers of that era were known for their emotional unions with their comrades, and D&J were no exception. How they expressed their love was key to being accepted by God. Until we use the Bible itself to educate ourselves and as ammunition against those like the Phelps - that twist the word, they will continue to do so, and the average layman will be duped by their lies.
