Haggard's Hooker Talks on TV

MIKE JONES INSIDE EDITION SCREEN GRAB X390 | ADVOCATE.COM

Mike Jones, the outspoken prostitute who brought down Colorado pastor Ted Haggard in 2006 by coming forth with tales of drug use and sex for pay, is talking again — this time to the tabloid TV newsmagazine Inside Edition.

An episode airing Monday night features Jones blasting Haggard's latest assertion that he has freed himself of "unwanted homosexual desires."

“Not one time in the three years we were together did I ever think that this was a heterosexual man with some gay issues," Jones says on the show, adding, "There's no cure for homosexuality.  You are who you are.  I would have so much more respect if he just said, ‘I’m choosing to stay with my family.’”

The segment on Jones also features an interview with Haggard's wife, Gayle, who insists her husband is heterosexual. She's also promoting her new book, Why I Stayed: The Choices I Made in My Darkest Hour.

@Jeffrey: I thought the same thing, especially coming from ADVOCATE editors; perhaps they are as self-loathing as Haggard and angry that Jones got a book deal out of this while they're still in periodicals. C'mon ADVOCATE word-whores, defend your headline.

Haggard only claims to have rid himself of UNWANTED homosexual desires. Are some of those homosexual desires "wanted?" Sad icky Haggard doesn't know how to work for a living, so his only recourse is to try and wheedle back into the fold. MESSAGE: Ted, churches want to hear from murderers and drunks who have been magically converted; but once you've had a penis inside, the Christians will never forget it. Mike Jones is a great guy, and man-o-man was he a handsome stack of muscles when he was younger. Good luck to him.

I believe in bisexuals. I do not think Haggard is bisexual. This is a man who has been brainwashed into thinking that same sex relations is horribly bad. If he was satisfied with women he would not have gone to men.

Bisexuality definitely exists as any public health care worker can tell you. After several years working with the Department I can tell you there are quite a few happy bisexuals out there engaging in lots of pleasurable activities with both sexes. There are a lot of gray areas when we talk about sex. Simply stating that bisexuality doesn't exist seem unfair to bisexuals. If as a gay man I look at straight porn does that make me straight? Nuff said.

Haggards' Hooker??? How very demeaning. The man single handedly brought down another nasty homophobic christian minister and helped expose how often the very people who hide behind fairy tales to push their hate filled agenda are on the down low themselves. A little more respect for this guy is called for.

What do politicians and preachers have in common? They both make very good liars! This week we toast our liars of the week the honourable Mr. Ted Haggard and the honourable Mr. John Edwards!
