Gay Blog Interviews Megan Phelps

MEGAN PHELPS GAGA X390 (TWITTER) | ADVOCATE.COM

The future of the Westboro Baptist Church, Megan Phelps — granddaughter of Fred Phelps — watches Lost and loves Green Day, but thinks gay people are going to hell and are responsible for the earthquake in Haiti.

Quick — somebody make sure Megan knows Green Day front man Billie Joe Armstrong has said he is bi.

Gay blog AKA William sat down with Phelps to talk about her brand of activism (she’s been picketing since she was 5), her feelings on gays and lesbians (she’s friendly with gay people), and why she can’t wait for the United States to legalize same-sex marriage.

“It’s going to be everywhere and I’m pretty sure that trial in California, I would be willing to bet that they’re going to say that homosexuals have the right to marry and it’s going to spread all across this nation. And I am happy about that.”

Phelps says she’s happy because she feels the legalization of same-sex marriage is a done deal — the big question now, she says, is what “is going to cause the wrath of God to pour out and destroy this generation.”

I really do wish the entire Westboro FAKE BAPTIST church would just climb into their space ship and leave the earth. If they're so worried about God's wrath, do us a favor and make an early exit!

This is America and people have their rights to protest, ect. Personally, I can't stand these people. And I think Megan will be just another 40 year old virgin, unless she hooks up with one of her kin-folk.

I honestly think the phelps are a good for the gay community.. a blessing in disguise! They're extreme hatred shows the mainstream that hatred is luny.. even the christian right distances themselves from these nutties.. give them more time to air their hate(protesting at funerals of gay men, protesting at lady gaga, and protesting at funerals of soldiers because the us decriminalized homosexuality...) their more nuts they look the more people will realize how luny it is to be hateful... I also have this feeling they don't really believe what they mean. They are secretly pro-gay rights and this is their attempt to further the cause ;)

The Fred Phelps family obviously serve a purpose, although I'm not sure what it is. Why waste time interviewing one.? They all spew nonsense. They are God's mistake. So much for spontaneous miscarriage....
