Focus Buys More Ad Time

Focus on the Family is expected to announce Friday that it has purchased more advertising spots for Super Bowl Sunday.

According to USA Today, the evangelical, antigay group bought time during the pregame show to air a second ad four times. It will also feature Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam, who appear in the original Super Bowl ad that has been the subject of so much controversy.

The first ad, purchased weeks ago, features Pam Tebow talking about how she would not abort her unborn son despite doctor's advice due to a high-risk pregnancy. At one to it showed her adding, "Both of our lives were at risk." It was originally rejected by CBS, Focus on the Family CEO Jim Daly said. "They felt that was too much," he said, so Focus removed that line.

The second advertisement was filmed in Orlando, Fla., last month at the same time as the original.

I wonder how all the employees whom fof laid off last year feel since fof is spending all this money on ads for the superbowl, which are the most expensive ads for tv. Focus should get a new accountant. I am sure all the laid off people are so proud, but then again... they probably are now they have no job. As long as fof denies taxpaying citizens rights, I PRAY for their bankrupty. AND I left the Republican party just because of groups/people just like this...Rush, Sean, Sarah, Glen...sending us all back to the time of do as I say and if u disagree, shut up. What hyprocrites.

Darrel, it couldn't have been Tim Tebow; I'm sure he was home reading his Bible or saving a family and their dog from a buring house or most likely playing football by throwing passes at his tight end, opps, I mean throwing passes TO his tight end.
