Hugh Jackman and his muscial, time wasting extravaganzas was horrible!!! The quickest Oscars the last few years was the last time Steve Martin hosted- here's hoping he brings it in quick again. Agree with Doug- too teeny bop and since their main fan base is gay- a few gay films would be nice- especially after the Brokeback outrage

I'm not sure I understand how these two guys will compell "gay movie buffs" to watch. Sure they are handsome but they are kids basicly, I'm sure lots of teens might tune in to see them though.

Another sign of fear from the organisers of the Academy Awards. They made the right Choice with Hugh Jackman. He presented a refreshing and entertaining awards. It had nothing to do with him being host that the awards got poor rating. Just as dragging in these young stars will not. It is simple. The awards are too long. You either go with shock tactics like MTV and its awards or you do similar to the Golden Globes. Have you private functions and parties for the people being awarded but no live coverage of the awards. In todays world you are not going to get massive ratings as was once the case. Now there are far more choices for people to do other things. It is a pity because that speech of Dustin Lance Black would have more impact if more people had been watching. It is just a sign of the times and the way technology is changing things.

first, the MTV movie awards became the teen choice awards- and now the oscars have followed suit...so much for class in Hollywood. I basically gave up on the Oscars back when they campaigned to defeat Brokeback from winning, then told gays to shut up and be grateful they gave us anything at all....

Ok well, I'm officially not watching the Oscars this year. Zac and Taylor have no business presenting, but I would try to overlook it and watch it anyway. But Miley Fucking Cyrus? Hell no. She has no business even being INVITED. This seriously disgusts me. The Oscars are supposed to be celebrating the finest achievements in Hollywood. Putting Helen Mirren and Miley Cyrus together is like putting together a diamond and the cheap knock off you buy at Claires. This isn't the teen choice "awards," this is The Academy Awards for gods sake. Seriously, seriously disappointing.

Yeah, I'm totally in love with two talentless teen girl idols and will watch the Oscars to see them speak. It must really suck for Lautner to have teeth so big he can never close his damn mouth.

The question is will they come out of the closet and put an end to gay teen suicide due to a lack of positive gay role models?
