Circumcision May Not Cut HIV Spread

Circumcision is barbaric and was largely introduced to this country by Jewish doctors, perhaps as a way to blur the lines between jews and gentiles during and after World War II. It is nothing less than mutilation of boys and should be viewed as a form of abuse. If I said it was religious conviction to cut off a guy's balls or hack off a gal's tits - there'd be an uproar.

@Anouar: FGC may be different from MGC, but having baby girls' genitals left alone is exactly the same as having baby boys' genitals alone - a human right.

Qjersey a lot of us are angry that our bodies were violated and that under U.S. law when were were infants were were seen as less than girls if you so much as prick a girl's genitals that is a felony but if you cut off an infant's foreskin it is not so much as a misdemeanor. Other people are angry that anyone thinks it is acceptable to hurt infants and children for any reason and want non-theraputic circumcision to end. In reality we are obsessed with human rights the ones obsessed with cocks are the doctors and so called religious holy men and women who cut them up. I would like to point out while this study is not the best it is better than the ones in Africa which had significant flaws such as the circumcised men being exposed to the HIV virus less than the intact men, the researchers not taking into account different types of sexual practices, intravenous drug use, viral load of partners, rate of condom use and so forth.

Circumcision is barbaric, unnecessary and cruel. Even as a religious thing it's sickening. Given the choice, the overwhelming majority of adult men would never choose to have themselves cut. Most of the world's males are uncircumcised and have perfectly functioning penises that are completely healthy and sexually satisfying exactly as nature intended.

Circumcision is a form of self-mutilation. Like dietary rules, it may have been smart in the desert before good hygiene and refrigeration. Since I was cut without my say-so I won't even get a tattoo now.

Circumcision is the epitome of religious insanity. Of all the barbaric practices condoned in the Bible, this one makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I mean, when you stone, burn, behead, strangulate other people, you can covet their properties after they die. The Bible makes perfect sense there. So does owning yourselves a bunch of slaves. But mutilating your own bodies for your God is just beyond dumb. For all the dummies who think circumcision has nothing to do with religion running amok and it's all about saving money and good for your health, here's another money saving/health promoting tip for you. PULL ALL OF YOUR TEETH OUT. You won't have to brush them (save tons of money) and no more tooth (and gum) diseases. Albeit you won't be able to enjoy real/solid food any more. But why does it matter. It's a sin to enjoy real/solid food anyway. Plus, you're already used to not being able to know/enjoy what real sex feels like. Another life misery won't hurt.

Yep, before I even got to the comments I knew the anti circumcision wing nuts would be loving this. They are so invested in their hatred of this millenia old practice that they don't even bother to consider the severe limitations of this study.
