Reichen Lehmkuhl has booked himself a gig off-Broadway. The Amazing Race winner turned author and jewelry designer has signed on to star in My Big Gay Italian Wedding.

Lehmkuhl, who has made appearances on The Young and The Restless and Dante’s Cove, will step into a retooled version of the show, which opened at St. Luke’s Theatre for its third off-Broadway run May 5.

A former captain in the Air Force, Lehmkuhl has been an outspoken opponent of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Proceeds from his Fly Naked jewelry line have benefited the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.

Saw this show a few years ago when I lived in New York. Had a lot of potential and some great moments. Will see it when I'm in the city.

Will this non stop self promoting member of our community ever just GO AWAY! Those of us who know him or have friends who have dated him are NOT impressed. I'd love to hear about his ex partner on occasion, but this camera hog is always in the way.
