Comedic actress Betty White has clinched a hosting spot on one of the longest-running shows on American television.

Saturday Night Live
executive producer Lorne Michaels confirmed that she would play host on May 8, a role she turned down three times during her career.

According to USA Today, the episode, which will fall on the eve of Mother's Day, will also include a reunion of six former female cast members, most of them moms: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch.

The spot came as THE result of a viral campaign on Facebook to get the 88-year-old Emmy winner on the show as a host.

Just seeing or hearing Betty White's name puts a smile on my face. She seems to put her all into whatever she is doing, be it a sitcom, an animal charity or a Super Bowl commercial. She is mischievous and delightful. Watch out , SNL !
