Constance to Party With Perez

Constance McMillen x390 (fair) | advocate.com

Constance McMillen, the Mississippi high school student whose prom was canceled because she wanted to bring her girlfriend as a date, will attend a birthday bash for blogger Perez Hilton in Los Angeles. Hilton made the offer to McMillen to bring guests of her choosing for the event next weekend.

He broke the news on his blog, writing on Tuesday that she will be treated like a homecoming queen for the day.

What a bunch of petty queens some of you are....arguing back and forth on this thread. Let the girl have some fun for cryin' out loud! She's been thrust in to the media spotlight which I'm sure is stressful. I just don't see the point of arguing about her getting an invitation to a hollywood party?

Advice to Constance: If you don't go, you'll be more popular because Perez's 15 minutes are about up...

When is the gay community going to give up Perez? He has been extremely detrimental to the community and doesn't give a shit about gay rights, just about his fame. Hello, he called someone a "faggot" because that was the most hateful thing he could think of. Really? And this is someone that many people in the gay community continue to put on a pedestal. Ridiculous.

I too, find this a bit disappointing. Too bad her dad didn't do some research about Perez and stop this. Perez not someone I would ever want any of my nieces or nephews to have any contact with at all, including visiting his website. He's a horrible person. Of course, this seazebag is doing what he does best: latching onto someone else's fame to boost his own. I hope she realizes that he's just using her. After all, it got him another article in the Advocate, so he's getting what he wants.

Robert, I think that anyone who encourages someone to kill themselves simply because that person has a viewpoint that you don't agree with is disturbing. You need to seek counseling.
