Rachel Maddow Spars with J.D. Hayworth

Rachel Maddow asked former Arizona congressman J.D. Hayworth about his recent statement that the 2004 Massachusetts supreme court ruling defined same-sex marriage in such a way as to allow a person to marry a horse.

Hayworth, who is challenging Sen. John McCain for the Republican nomination, told a Florida radio station Sunday that the Massachusetts high court defined marriage as “simply 'the establishment of intimacy'” in its historic ruling.

“Now, how dangerous is that?” asked Hayworth. “I mean, I don't mean to be absurd about it, but I guess I can make the point of absurdity with an absurd point — I guess that would mean if you really had affection for your horse, I guess you could marry your horse.”

Maddow asked Hayworth where he found the phrase “establishment of intimacy” in the Massachusetts ruling.

“It’s just not there, let alone the horse thing,” she said.

HAAAAAA, this guy never gets a clue! His mouth has always gotten him into trouble. He is very pathetic and needs to understand his role in life is not in politics. He lacks respect, he lacks endorsements, he lacks any part of what this state or Nation needs. He continues to amaze me with his sloth-like speeches, his lack of respect for others and his lack of knowledge as to what we are faced with. JD Hayworth is NOT the best man for this job, or ANY political job, he is just too corrupt.

JD the pathetic blowhard will continue to get himself in trouble. He is not the most intelligent man, has a love for earmarks and is not respected in the state of Arizona. He has no idea what is truth vs his own idea of truth, he has a lack of passion for issues that are crippling this Nation. He will never be elected.

It's sad when a talk show host tries to call someone out, when she knows that the healthcare bill she is promoting will hurt our country. It's said that the bill will reduce the deficit when in fact it the deficit will sky rocket. The bill does not include the 250 billion doctor fix, but she won't inform her viewers about that. Rachal is a partison hack. We need the truth and nothing but the truth. Why hasn't Rachal (and others) informed her viiewers that the healthcare bill starts taxing us in 2010 but doesn't take affect until 2014? With all the spending that both parties are guilty of and this horrible healthcare bill our country is in huge trouble! If only our media would report the truth!

I am from AZ and for those who don't know...this guy was the WEATHERMAN on a local tv station. He is well known for his assanine(sp?) comments ahs well as his bad plastic surgery. McCain, though he walked with the dinosuars,is far from a teetoring old man. I am sure he is ready to leave but with tools like JD waiting to take over, he is probably asking "One More Day" every morning.

OMG. What a slimy, lying, example of political side stepping do we have here? And this guy thinks he is better than McCain?Eeeek! Even though I have various issues with John McCain, at least McCain can present himself with a sense of dignity and maturity as opposed to this guy. Where did he come from anyway? The plastics molding shop for morons?

Wow. Two GIANT ASSHOLES from the same state, no less. And at one time I actually considered AZ a potential location to call home. Well, who knows what JD (judiciously dumb) Hayworth really believes. He probably doesn't know, so how can we? Isn't it wonderful, now that racial minorities are off-limits for endless scapegoating, that gays and lesbians have become the next best convenient target for insult, attack and sordid misrepresentation! I am reminded of a T-Shirt worn by a lesbian in the 1970 NYC Gay Pride Parade: "We are your worst nightmare, and your wildest fantasy."
