Maddow Reviews DADT Developments

Rachel Maddow broke down major developments on the “don’t ask, don’t tell” front Thursday. News included the arrest of Lt. Dan Choi and others for their protest at the White House and Senate testimony from retired Marine general John Sheehan that inclusion of gays in the Dutch military led to the massacre of Bosnian Muslims in 1995.

    With all due respect to General Sheehan (and little respect is due), he's an idiot. He's a liar. The Dutch Minister of Defence called his comments "unworthy of a soldier." It's a good thing he's retired, because he's unfit for command. And like the relics who signed the dubious letter in support of DADT, he will be resigned to the trash heap of history, like proponents of slavery and segregation, misogynists, anti-semites and colonialists.
