Pro Wrestler Comes Out as Bi

ORLANDO JORDAN SCREEN GRAB X390 | ADVOCATE.COM

Pro wrestler Orlando Jordan came out in the ring Monday night ... sort of.

Jordan, a new fixture in the Total Nonstop Action wrestling league, was tied up in caution tape as he was lowered from the ceiling to the wrestling ring. He then slithered off the mat onto a couch, where he sat between a man and a woman. Behind the couch was the tricolored bisexual pride flag.

Outsports.com reports that Jordan made his league debut January 4. In February he walked to the ring for a match accompanied by a man and a woman.

Jordan wrestled for W.W.E. between 2003 and 2006. He was fired in 2006 for traveling with someone not authorized by the company to be on the road with him. This person was his boyfriend (the same guy who is on the couch in the T.N.A. clip). The real reason for the firing was that pics of the two of them showed up online and it was learned that the boyfriend was underage at the time. At the time of the release, they were going to do the bisexual storyline with Jordan, as the creative team had no ideas or plans to use him and Jordan wanted to do this. In the wrestling community, it is very old news that Jordan is bi and it is no big deal. Pro wrestling's history is filled with gay and bi people and they are respected and treated as equals. The only "problem" area has to do with people who made advances to underage people.

When some of these old farts are too feeble to type their pissy comments here, you'll stop hearing this "no such thing as Bi" crap. It's totally a generational thing, they're trapped in the 70's, when saying you were Bi was perhaps more likely a stepping stone to coming out. I'm not Bi myself but I've known (and dated) many Bi men and I have no doubt that they were genuinely playing on both teams. I'm also not a kid (I'm 44) but even I'm aware that attitudes and perspectives have shifted, and a lot more people feel comfortable admitting that they're attracted to both sexes (and more will become comfortable when the idiots, who can only base their view of the world on what THEY feel, finally get a clue or are too senile to remember how to SPELL Bi). It's 2010, queens, get your tired asses into the 21st century!

I don't exist? *pokes self in belly* Nope, I seem to still be here. Of course, gender isn't binary, so I prefer to call myself Situational. I fall in love with/am attracted to individuals. Gotta love the trolls though. I hear it's lucky if you rub their hair (I was gonna say heads, but that could be misinterpreted.) People really still think bi-folk are just half-out? That's kinda silly. He he. Silly trolls.

Jesus, you'd think that on this site of all places a bi-guy should be able to read an article without being told he doesn't exist.

totally bizarre... hot guy, though. Seems totally gay. While I believe there are tons of totally gay guys out there who say they are "bi" I also have acquaintances who are convincingly so. I think we deny the existence of bisexuality because of so many liars, but it does exist

Even The Advocate admits that "Bisexuality" doesn't exist. I agree with The Advocate on this full on.

"Now that he's told a half truth, hopefully he'll have the courage to be honest and tell the whole truth soon." And maybe now that you've gone to the always hilarious "biphobia from a gay dude" well, you'll have the courage to get over whatever your problem with bisexual men is.
