Trans Candidate for Congress Doesn't Like Labels

DONNA MILO X390 2

Donna Milo is a Cuban-American, Republican, transgender candidate running in Florida’s GOP primary for Congress who says she doesn’t like labels, but she does believe in being an open book.

“I'm an American,” she says. “I make my way on the basis of ability. My triumphs are based on my abilities, not on a label or a crutch.”

"Rene" (or whatever sock-puppet you are using this moment) said: "its own marriage was a sham and resulted in the ruination of several lives" - Just like the AFA/NARTH folks say about closeted gays who get married and come out late. Hypocrisy much?

I'd label him a bigot. He is against gay rights. Thinks marriage should only be between a man and a woman, yet what was his own failed marriage about? A hypocrite. Thinks children should be adopted by "traditional families". Like this putrid freak is 'traditional". Thinks gender surgery should not be paid for by medicaid (yet we pay taxes, too). Promotes a Republican agenda that only means suffering and death to us. And I've seen this horror show reject from Cuba: it looks like a truck driver in a fright wig from 1975. A complete mess and mentally ill. I hope every gay person in his district votes against this thing.

"Susan": we are for equal rights not a silly 1890s "respect for her gender". Which is something you didn't have so you pretend to change it. His gender is male, by the way. George Bush in a cheap dress is still a man.

Geez, she may be seriously misguided (or most certainly is misguided), but at least give her the respect of her gender. I think I'm as appalled as the next person at her platform, but is the bitter transphobia necessary?

This ghoul has stated that it believes marriage should be only between a man and a woman. Of course, its own marriage was a sham and resulted in the ruination of several lives. It attests to our strenght that the Republicans feel they must sometimes run candidates who APPEAR to part of our community. But this ghoul is filth. I'm sure it doesn't like labels, I've seen his clothes.

It doesn't like labels, eh? How about IDIOTIC, SELF LOATHING, HOMOPHOBIC and UGLY? I heard you on the radio speaking against equal rights for gays. You are a fool. If it were not for our movement, you would have been carted away to a concentration camp.

Lipstick on a pig is still a pig. I am a Lesbian who sometimes wears men's clothes. I support our brave drag queens. Don Milo is nothing but a man in a dress who hates himself and opposes Gay Liberation out of self loathing. Traditional values my ass. This failure as a father even prefers chidren not be adopted by us- like this freak is somehow straight.

As horrible as this person is, I am overwhelmed by the transphobia on display here in the comments. I thought dignity of personhood was a right reserved for all humans, not just democrats. I welcome vilification of this "candidate" (not that she has any chance), but villification of her personhood or stated gender is simply ignorance and evil. Reducing her to an "it"? Shame on you. Don't join her anti-queer movement.

I laud her for being transgender and running for office. It's very progressive. But she's an idiot for leaving behind lesbian, gays, and bisexuals. Transgender rights are mostly based off of LGB and it sounds like she just took it for granted.
