Bill Horn and Scout Masterson, Tori Spelling's friends featured on reality show Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, have a daughter, Simone Lynn Masterson-Horn, born last week.

“Dean and I are beyond happy that Scout and Bill’s dreams of becoming parents have come true. Little Simone couldn’t have two better loving and deserving dads,” Spelling toldPeople magazine. “Her cousins Liam and Stella are anxiously waiting to meet her. Stella kisses pictures of her that Guncle Billy and Scouty send us.”

Spelling calls the two "guncles" — a portmanteau of gay and uncles — when referring to their relationship with her children.

Simone weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces at birth. She is the couple's first child.

Horn and Masterson began the adoption process last year but declined to reveal details to protect the privacy of Simone's birth mother. They married in Palm Springs in 2009, with their wedding planned by Spelling.

At DANIEL, I'm probably one of the few on here that is fully aware that the two men are now FATHERS not GUNCLES, which is really silly, and all of this silliness could have been avoided all together if Tori would have kept her trap shut or at least acknowledge their fatherhood not minimize it. At FRANK, the only way we can fight against discrimination against gay men is to start respecting the male and his sexuality overall. Diminishing his role in society through calling him a "guncle" is not helping with gaining respect for the male, especially the one who is gay. Think about it before you superficially arrive to baseless conclusions.

Would it be so cute if the dudes were black and then referred to as blunckles?

I'm so sick of the word "gay" or the letter "g" being thrown in front of ordinary words in order to make said words "gay": guncles, gaybies, gayborhoods, gaycations, etc. I'm not offended by them or anything. They're just stupid and so forced.

@pepa While other people are going to be know for fighting against discrimination or don't ask dont tell, fighting for equality, pepa the troll is going to be know as the one who fought the word "guncle", now how immensely stupid is that. I would go on but some trolls are not worth it, they wear out my keyboard.

Wow. Those of you that are offended by this? Really...? Why? She used the phrase "Guncle" while talking about the relationship of HER kid with them. She called them dads in respect to their own child. I see absolutely not problem with this, and while everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I think that honestly you should just be happy that she is supportive of equality. If you get angry with those who are supportive of full equality, you're just asking for them NOT to support full equality. Oh. and i'm a proud Guncle ;)

"For others here I can only say grow up and learn to read." Oh please Raphael, your elitism is really stinking up the board. Get over it, we have made simple observations that are legitimate. Mine was simply that she treats men differently from women, like most female celebrities do. There is nothing immoral about it, we are just saying that it borders on the cynical side. We are not saying that you don't have to love her, what I am doing is simply overlooking the smugness that most celebrities hide behind. Like others here have said, it is nothing to get your blood boiling, so chill out, and let people have their own opinion about it.

People are stupid here or are they illiterate, her first statement was to compliment them and affirm that they would be great dads not gunkles. I find it really offensive that people are attacking her for something as irrelevant of how her children refer to Tori's gay friends. It would be stupid to call them uncle as they are not related but have been her friends for a long time. But listen to your whining about a woman who has been a supporter of gay issues from when she was a teenager, her television shows have always had gay people being themselves, she has done two movies that had gay themes most notebly "Trick" with Christian Campbell and your all whining over a cutsey name her children have given friends of the family. As for the happy couple I can only offer my profound congradulations on the birth of your daughter. For others here I can only say grow up and learn to read.
