Singer Charice Lands Role on Glee

The cast of Glee is welcoming a new member to its ranks next season. Charice, the 17-year old who was on an episode of Oprah titled "The Most Talented Girl in the World" and has sung with the likes of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, will play a foreign exchange student who is a rival to Rachel.

Earlier this month, the singer had denied rumors of her being cast on the show, but, confirmed Monday on Twitter she had won the new role. 

Last month, Charice's first album debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard charts.

    Charice's Pyramid was viewed over 13,000,000 in utube now in billboard's top 10. I'm sure she will be a big hit on Glee season 2. She is a world class singer. If you missed her singing with Celine Dion at Madison Square Garden or her duet with Andrea Bocceli or her guesting in Korea, check it in u tube. She is the singing sensation in u tube.     better character choice than the second girl character they are adding of a viruenly homophobic fundementalist christian who hates gays and songs that arent public domain songs praising jesus.

    Great to see that everybody embraces her and is open to her joining the show. Let's see how the Season plays out as she will, no doubt, give an interesting perspective to the plot and some of its main characters. Cheers.
