Gay defendants Joseph Price, Victor Zaborsky, and Dylan Ward await the decision Tuesday in their criminal trial on charges of conspiracy and obstruction of justice in the 2006 stabbing death of their friend Robert Wone (pictured), a prominent attorney.

According to the Washington City Paper, the defense closed Thursday in the trial in D.C. superior court. Judge Lynn Leibovitz will deliver her decision Tuesday at 11 a.m.

“The gay threesome maintain that an unknown intruder broke into their home at 1509 Swann Street NW and killed their friend Wone,” reports the City Paper. “Prosecutors believe the men know the killer and are covering up to protect him.”

A prominent Chinese American, Wone was married to a woman he met in 2002. What happened the night Wone was murdered has become a matter of intense speculation.

This bizarre case has riveted the gay (and non-gay) community in Washington for nearly four years. Although no one has been charged with the murder, the "trouple" is currently on trial for obstruction, tampering, and conspiracy. For the last 4-5 weeks, we have been obsessed with the blog/website www.whomurderedrobertwone.com, a site three gay men have put together to report in great detail everything there is we have learned about the case. For a true in-depth analysis of a real murder mystery -as yet unsolved, complete with commenters intelligently disecting every facet of the case and posting their various theories, see the website - or click on the link above. You will be hooked. Jim
