Glee mastermind Ryan Murphy has confirmed to ET that his show is working on a tribute episode to Britney Spears. It remains unclear whether the best-selling female artist of the 2000s will grace the Emmy-nominated program with her presence.

According to ET, “While there's no word if the pop princess herself will appear on the hit show, Glee creator/writer Ryan Murphy tells ET that the show is currently in the middle of writing a Spears episode.”

ET also reported that Glee plans a “big tribute episode after next year’s Super Bowl,” which sounds like it could involve Michael Jackson or someone “close” to him, according to hints from Murphy.

And then all the mothers can have their kids taken away while their crazy moms are in the mental hospital. She's not really someone young people should be paying tribute to, she's a terrebile role model for young girls.

A "tribute" to Britney? So all the female cast members won't wear panties during the episode, the guys will take douchebag lessons from Kevin Federline, and one of the girls will go crazy, shave her head and attack a car with an umbrella?

They are ruining a GREAT show, the writers should be developing the characters of the show and not having celebrities making cameos to help promote their sagging careers. I loved the show because it was different and made up of a virtually unknown cast, I didn't watch it to see Olivia, Brittany or Katie Holmes. Time will tell about the fate of GLEE if they continue down the road they are going. PS, Olivia Newton_John was terrible (so much for her nice image).
