80 Potential Sightings of Mitrice in Vegas

Officials from the L.A. County sheriff's office say there have been several credible sightings of missing woman Mitrice Richardson in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police captain Kevin McClure said in a press conference Thursday that an acquaintance reported seeing her at the Rio hotel, according to KTLA News.  Richardson, 25, has been missing for nearly a year after being released from police custody in Malibu, Calif. Her father, Michael Richardson, said he has learned there have been about 80 possible sightings of his daughter in Vegas.

While she does not face any charges, her family, friends, and girlfriend have launched searches for her all over the city of Los Angeles. Her parents have filed lawsuits against Los Angeles law enforcement for negligence.

After Richardson went missing, investigators said they found evidence in her diaries and text messages to people that she may be bipolar. She reportedly was acting strange the night she was arrested at Geoffrey's restaurant in Malibu, as she told employees she was from Mars and started speaking in gibberish.
