Famed Bathhouse Goes Doggy Style

DOG BATH GROOMING X390 (THINK) | ADVOCATE.COM

Club Turk Baths, one of San Francisco’s first gay bathhouses as well as one of its last, is set to become a canine day-care facility, reports the San Francisco Examiner. The bathhouse, located in the city’s Tenderloin district, has been closed for more than two decades after city officials cracked down on sex clubs and bathhouses at the height of the AIDS epidemic. The ground floor of the three-story building will be converted into four playgrounds and will accommodate up to 60 dogs. The new business is expected to open early next year and will be named Bulldog Baths in honor of the former bathhouse.
