Wyo. Couple Challenges Marriage Law

WYOMING STATE SEAL GAVEL X390 (THINK) | ADVOCATE.COM

A gay couple on Cheyenne, Wyo., who were refused a marriage license have filed a federal lawsuit to challenge the state’s law that defines marriage as a union between a man and woman, reports Associated Press. Ryan W. Dupree and David Shupe-Roderick filed the lawsuit earlier this month and will act as their own attorneys in the case, which is assigned to U.S. district judge Alan B. Johnson of Cheyenne. They have asked Johnson to block the state from enforcing the law that denies gay and lesbian couples access to civil marriage.

Most, if not all of you, have no fucking clue what Laramie, or Wyoming is all about. We're not some homophobic ignorant backwater like the media, and some of you, would like to portray. I just read an article about some kid in San Fran that punched a gay/lesbian person. Hate and prejudice are, unfortunately, everywhere. Until you actually know something about Wyoming and its people, stop making ignorant comments.

"And which Democrat appointed Judge Walker?"-- And it was Madam Pelosi who objected to his appointment calling him a "homophobe." LOL. Libs are mystifying.

And which Democrat appointed Judge Walker? No wonder the Demos think they can take us for granted. Even when a Republican supports us they get bashed as homophobes in contrast to all those "fierce advocates" among the Democrats.

Mark writes, "Obama needs to start nominating hundreds of federal court judges immediately the way "Adolph" Bush and "Rabid" Regan did." Well, Mark, Obama has been appointing them, but the Republican'ts have been blocking them. Want equal rights? Vote the Republican'ts out.

I have one question: Are Ryan W. Dupree and David Shupe-Roderick lawyers, otherwise this is a joke and even if they are lawyers, there is saying about lawyers being their own clients, means the client has fools for a lawyer. Their argument is non existent, they should be trying to overturn the current law as per article 14 of the US Constitution, this seems to be the most successful route to equality at the moment.

Everyone in the USA should descend on Wyoming and demand GLBT rights. Wyoming is more conservative than mississippi, alabama and texas. What a ignorant backwater hick place.

We should sue in every court in this country until we have our constitutional equal civil rights. Obama needs to start nominating hundreds of federal court judges immediately the way "Adolph" Bush and "Rabid" Regan did.
