Fight Back N.Y. Opens Diaz Sr.'s Closet

An obstacle to ethics reform. The subject of an FBI investigation. Fight Back New York turns the closet metaphor on state senator Ruben Diaz Sr., the most outspoken opponent of gay rights in the legislature, by unveiling the results of a donor-funded opposition research campaign into his past.

The political action committee, which is targeting state lawmakers who voted against marriage equality last year, called for donations to support research to build a case against reelecting Diaz. The incumbent Democrat and Pentecostal minister from the Bronx faces a primary challenge from Charlie Ramos on September 14.

Results from the “What’s in Ruben’s Closet” campaign were revealed Monday afternoon on the site TruthAboutDiaz.com.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you Fausto, if you are hiding any more of my words somewhere you can return them at your leisure. :)

Mona L, While i think you (based on your stated opinion) are one of the most vile, disgusting, ignorant posters I have read on this site, it makes me wonder why you are on here. Did you mistakenly type in "www.advocate.com" instead of "www.nationalorganizationformarriage.com" ? Or are you just a self hating closeted homosexual? Your response to this last question will help me decide your degree of moral depravity. I do not normally stoop to personal attacks, even when justly provoked, but this calls for an exception. On the issue of Diaz, I hope that ethics prob goes nice and deep.

Of course, if Mona L's church is officially canvassing for Diaz, the church is subject to losing its tax-exempt status, as churches are forbidden under the Tax Code from endorsing political candidates. Someone call the IRS, stat!
