First Look: Thomas Dekker as Lance Loud

The first pictures are out from the set of Cinema Verite, starring Diane Lane as Pat Loud and Thomas Dekker as gay son Lance.

Cinema Verite is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the 1970s documentary/reality series An American Family, a PBS show that followed the lives of the Loud family. Lance Loud came out during the series' run.

    I rushed home from my college night classes, just to watch An American Family with my father. I remember the time Lance told his younger sisters they should bite their nails, then paint them with red polish, so they looked like they were bleeding. It was truly the first reality TV. I'll watch for this film. Only wish they would re-show the original series.
