Tracking developments for LGBT equality in the United States Air Force. Since the Sept. 20, 2011 repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, advances in LGBT military equality have been made but progress is still ongoing. Advancements include the class of 2012's graduation from the Air Force Military Academy, which included the first openly gay cadets. In 2013 the Air Force made LGBT history by promoting out lesbian Patricia Rose to Major General, which made her the highest ranking LGBT member of the military at the time.
