President Barack Obama announced Monday that he has selected actor Sarah Jessica Parker and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour to join the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.

Parker and Wintour are just two of 25 new members that will be added to the committee dedicated to the promotion of cultural projects.

Other appointees include actors Edward Norton, Forest Whitaker, and Alfre Woodard, musician Yo-Yo Ma, and philanthropist Teresa Heinz, reports the Associated Press.

George Stevens Jr., executive producer of the Kennedy Center Honors and founder of the American Film Institute, and Broadway producer Margo Lion currently cochair the committee.

According to the agency’s website, the President’s Committee of the Arts and the Humanities works directly with the National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, and Institute of Museum and Library Services to initiate and support key programs, recognize excellence, and encourage private-public partnerships in the arts.

Vice President Joe Biden will install the 25 new members Tuesday.

Where are the gay people? Gay people have had a major influence on arts and entertainment. Fran Lebowitz famously said 'If you removed all of the homosexuals and homosexual influence from what is generally regarded as American culture, you would pretty much be left with "Let's Make a Deal.”'

Donnie - you know what? It rained today, it was Obama's fault! There was a bad accident on I-95, it was Obama's fault! A friend of mine fell and broke his leg today, it must be Obama's fault! Seriously, give it a rest. Don't you have a Log Cabin meeting you are missing?
