Neither will get an Oscar this year, but the job of hosting the 82nd annual Academy Awards ceremony goes to actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.

Variety is reporting that Baldwin and Martin will cohost the Oscars, set to broadcast live on March 7 on ABC.

Each actor has previously presented during the Academy Awards ceremony, and Baldwin was nominated for an Oscar for his role in The Cooler. Martin has hosted the ceremony twice before.

I guess after looking at these two clowns, any woman watching the Oscars would consider Lesbianism. But then again, after seeing and hearing the drivel from the one pig Baldwin was married to-I might just turn straight.

Yes, jan, we don't doubt you also screamed anti-gay slurs. But this is a gay rights website not a guide for self hatred in Indianapolis. A homophobe is unacceptable as an Oscar host. Period. Baldwin is a pig who was even accused of abusing his daughter. Time to draw the line.

It is a shame that such a gay event will be ruined by a homophobic host (Baldwin) and a buffoon (Martin). And neither of them are exactly eye candy, either. Baldwin owes the gay male communtiy big time as he would be a total unknown if he had to bank on his acting "talent" alone. A typical casting couch story. It almost seems bizarre to think now, but at one time some guys thought he was handsome. A long time ago and many beers ago. Now he couldn't pay me. I can accept chunky, but obese with the face of a rat? His so called "liberal" politics are a total fraud, shown when he screamed an anti-gay slur at someone he disliked.

Well I like both of them and the show could be great. As far as Alec saying something offensive in the past....well...I know I've said some things in my life I'm not too proud of. Alec doesn't strike me as an enemy.

Sad day for the Oscars, Martin is about as funny as a traffic accident, his movies are usually juvenile slap stick or complete stinkers. And what the attraction of Baldwin is, I don't know it is his younger brother who is the cute one, and besides Alec is a homophobe. Beside the tape of him screaming obscenities at his daughter still rings in my ears and I suppose hers as well, as she still refuses to spend time with him. Well with these two hosts I will not be throwing my annual Oscar party this year, it just got cancelled.

I remember the news article when Baldwin yelled an anti-gay slur and later had to apologize for it. This is the thanks we got for making this idiot a star. I could never see what others saw in him, I always thought he was ugly looking even when he was young and less than 300 lbs. He has a odd, rodent like face. It is sad that people like him often make political statements that only make themselves appear even more foolish- such as when he said he would leave the USA if Bush got elected. We are still waiting. Of course, I had no love for Bush but I certainly didn't need voting advice from this cretin Baldwin either. His ex-wife claimed he abuse their kid yet both of them advocated spitting on women wearing fur coats.

Alec Baldwin (in spite of his fake liberal politics) is a homophobe who screamed "f-ggot" when he was angry at someone. His rose to fame because some gay men considered him sexy many years and many pounds ago. He should be boycotted. He has no talent anyway. He had teamed up with his equal in horror, Kim Bassethound till they realized both of them were going nowhere and could not help each other get ahead anymore. and, please, Alec Alex or whatever, spare us the lecture on rights for Canadian geese.
