Glee's Chris Colfer Helping Kid Cut Class?

CHRIS COLFER 03 X390 (GETTY) | ADVOCATE.COM

Here's a random tweet.

Glee’s Chris Colfer -- who plays the very gay glee club member Kurt Hummel on the hit Fox show -- posted the following on his Twitter page this morning: “Dear Los Angeles High School, I do not have a daughter, please stop calling me when she misses class. Dear LAHS student, GO TO SCHOOL!”

I wish they would give him more lines in Glee, it seems like he rarely even gets to speak.

heh, I used to get these calls from a school. And it was so annoying, because despite calling the school's office numerous times, they refused to correct the issue. I finally had an attorney send the school board a letter threatening to sue for harassment. They fixed it then. And to all the old bitter queens who say its not news, yeah, it is. It involves a member of the gay community. And its filed under entertainment. Anyone who has ever run a publication knows that you need to occasionally have light hearted, non-serious pieces in your coverage, otherwise your publication becomes too serious and resembles a business journal instead of a news site.

I'm an old queen and I am not bitter! I am also able to distinguish between the NEWS articles and the ENTERTAINMENT NEWS articles and not get my panties in a bunch because The Advocate dares to publish frivolous celebrity stories. I suggest to those who do complain "this is not news..." learn to scroll through the NEWS and/or POLITICS sections of this website and stay away from TODAY'S HEADLINES where you will find stories of all types..

Paul writes, "why are so many old queens bitter? stop taking life so serious" First off, Penelope, it's "taking life so seriously." Serious is an adjective, a word that describes a noun. YOU wanted a word that describes a verb, "taking". That means you need to use an adverb, "seriously". Now in answer to your question, Old queens are bitter because we've spent our entire life fighting for equal rights - for ANY rights, & along comes these snot nosed little brats who take it all for granted. On top of their being spoiled & uncouth (& ill-grammared), they frivolously think that life is one big party thrown just for THEM. Phyllis, disabuse yourself of that notion right now. One day you'll realize you're old, that you didn't get to realize even a quarter of the dreams you had while young, that all that time you spent partying & jumping from bed to bed was really kind of empty & a waste of time, & you'll see that with the time you have left - you have to deal with twinkies like YOU.

here's the thing guys, the advocate isn't a strict hard news publication. if you look at the top column, there is a politics section, travel section, sports section, etc. this is filed under entertainment news. this is a gay themed website. this is gay entertainment news. lol

I don't know, it's a little bit funny, and news shouldn't be so serious ALL the time. It gets depressing. We need a little lighthearted randomness or super sexy mancandy every now and then to lighten the mood and bolster the spirits! After all, being gay in America these days is really hard! Lighten up and enjoy some random silliness every now and then!
