Vallée’s C.R.A.Z.Y., a
French-language drama focusing on the troubled relationship
between a father and his young gay son, is not only a
huge box-office success in Quebec; it’s also
garnered 12 Genie Award nominations from the Academy of
Canadian Cinema and Television, reports Variety.
Nominations include Best Picture and Best Director, as
well as Best Actor nods for Michel Côté (who plays
the father) and Marc-André Grondin (who plays
Zachary, his son). The 26th annual Genie Awards will
be given out on March 13 in Toronto. C.R.A.Z.Y. was
the top-grossing film of the year in Canada, taking in
