Gay bashers have
struck again near London's Clapham Common, the site
where a gay bar manager was beaten to death last October.
This time the victims are a gay couple, who were
attacked as they left the Two Brewers gay bar in the
early hours of Sunday.
The attackers hurled abuse at the pair, then
surrounded them in Clapham High Street. A 27-year-old
man was knocked to the ground, suffering a serious
head wound that left him unconscious. His 24-year-old
boyfriend was also hurt, but not seriously. The two
reportedly tried to fight back but were overpowered by
the group of between three and six assailants.
The Trinity Mirror reports the older of the two
men was in stable condition at the hospital and his injuries
were not thought to be life-threatening. Police are
treating the attack as a hate crime. (Sirius OutQ
