AIDS Community
Services drops plans to move and will instead build an

Buffalo,
Buffalo,
N.Y.-based AIDS Community Services has dropped its plan to
move to a larger location and will instead build an
addition to its current facility, The Buffalo
News reports. The agency, which offers HIV care
and supportive services to more than 1,000 clients,
had planned to move to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
But because ACS is growing and providing care to more
HIV patients, a larger federal grant will enable the
agency to instead purchase the building hosting
its current offices and build an addition behind it. The
$7 million facility will be named the Evergreen Center, and
besides ACS it will house HIV research offices and
provide space to programs offering adult daycare
services. (The Advocate)
