received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice
related to its marketing and medical education
programs for three of its anti-HIV medications.
Gilead issued a
statement saying the subpoena requested documents for its
medications Truvada, Viread, and Emtriva. Company officials
said they intended to comply with the subpoena, which
came from the U.S. Attorney's office in San Francisco,
and cooperate in any related government investigation.
