Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie will get married on Christmas in South
Africa, where gays are allowed to marry, according to the
U.K. paper Daily Mail. This announcement
follows Pitt's statement in Esquire that the two
would not get married until everyone in the United
States could.
A friend of the
couple told OK! magazine that they are very
much in love and that the wedding will be simple and
elegant. "Brad and Angelina have waited a long time
for this chapter in their lives to unfold," the friend
said.
The wedding is
coming after Jolie and Oprah Winfrey have grown close
because of Winfrey's interest in Jolie's humanitarian
efforts. According to the Daily Mail, Winfrey,
Guy Ritchie, Madonna, George Clooney, and Daniel Craig
are said to be attending the wedding which will take
place in a village outside of Johannesburg. (The
