Cyndi Lauper fans
may soon gain access to the pop star's first three
recordings in digital file formats that would include
bonus tracks and remixes. A group of fans has launched
a campaign to get the albums reissued
internationally on CD with extra tracks -- as well as a
DVD collection of her videos.
The label that
released the albums She's So Unusual, True
Colors, and A Night to Remember is now
owned by Sony/BMG. These albums are available on CD,
but not with the bonus material that was originally
released.
Campaign leader
Joshua Durr wrote in an e-mail to The Advocate that
the effort is generated entirely by fans and has
received no formal funding. (The Advocate)
