scheduled a hearing for Tuesday to listen to voter
opinion on same-sex marriage, the Associated
Press reports. Based on what it hears, the panel will
advise the Vermont legislature on whether the state should
allow same-sex marriage in lieu of civil unions, which
are already legal in the state.
The hearing will
take place in the Williston Central School Auditorium
from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (The Advocate)
