Craig Back in Court to Rescind Guilty Plea

Republican senator Larry Craig is back in court, this time in an attempt to rescind the guilty plea he issued after his 2007 arrest in a men's bathroom sex-sting operation, Reuters reports.

Republican senator Larry Craig is back in court, this time in an attempt to rescind the guilty plea he issued after his 2007 arrest in a men's bathroom sex-sting operation, Reuters reports.

Craig was arrested in the men's bathroom of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport when he allegedly attempted to solicit sex with an undercover cop. The three-term Idaho senator initially pleaded guilty, but his attorneys now say that there was not enough evidence to prove his guilt. The disorderly conduct charge is a misdemeanor.

Prosecutor Christopher Renz countered that the complaint and Craig's initial guilty plea should be sufficient enough to put this case to rest before urging members of the jury not to allow Craig to take back his guilty plea. He also argued Craig's behavior at the time was part of a pattern. (Michelle Garcia, The Advocate)

Larry Craig is a self-loather who poisons the well for all of us who are trying to lead decent, honest lives out in the open and make the world a safe place for ourselves and others. Larry, look at yourself in the mirror and say "You're queer and I love you." You'll be amazed at how good it will make you feel.

With his reputation, Larry "Wide Stance" Craig could have a future in porn films for those who like older sugar daddy types. I mean, his name alone is money in the bank: Larry "Wide Stance" Craig! That's a great porn name. He wouldn't have to change it to something silly like Rock Abdomen, Bolt Upright, or Chad Michael McMuffin. Senator, it's just wrong to waste your idea porn name. It's your duty!

If Craig likes to suck dick, so what? Doesn't every homo with any taste at all? What I can't stand is his hypocrisy, but the Republican persona - after a few years of living its pervasive rot - becomes self-hatred. How can it not? My point is - Craig, shut the eff up. People don't like you. Admit it and get on with your life before you're too old to get down on your knees and up again. A tip: if you have false teeth, take them out first. The young men might even come back for seconds.

The point here is, like Sarah Palin, the Republicans talk "morality" but only for other people. They can have babies out of wedlock, cruise tearooms, go to hookers, etc. But if other people declare their rights to their own personal choices, they go ballistic and say the country is falling apart because of liberal's illicit ways. This is getting so tired. Vote Democrat!

    Comment:

"Senator Craig deserves the punishment he and his political party endorsed on the LGBT community." The Republican Party was for criminalizing sex in public restrooms, and the Democratic Party was for keeping sex in public restrooms legal? No? Then just what punishment are you talking about? Larry Craig wasn't busted for gay sex. He was busted for soliciting sex in a public restroom.

Joe Citizen or elite politician, I don't care who you are or what power and influence you think you may have, once you plead guilty because you were expecting your nightmare to just go away and it doesn't, does not give you the right to rescind. Senator Craig deserves the punishment he and his political party endorsed on the LGBT community.
