Republican Senator Demeans Obama for Inclusiveness

U.S. senator Kit Bond of Missouri derided Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama for stating that he hopes to appoint judges who can empathize with gay people.

U.S. senator Kit Bond of Missouri derided Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama for stating that he hopes to appoint judges who can empathize with gay people.

Bond addressed the crowd before introducing Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin onstage at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Thursday, according to CBS News.

"[Obama] said, ‘I’m tired of these judges who want to follow what the Founding Fathers said and the Constitution," Bond said. " 'I want judges who have a heart, have an empathy for the teenage mom, the minority, the gay, the disabled. We want them to show empathy. We want them to show compassion.' The Economy, the Judiciary Sytem and many other ill bedevilling the country currently, makes sense when one is faced with the IQ of the likes of Senator Bond. He feels it's wrong for Obama to try and fix the Republican mess, what a shame.

Ahhhhh, I believe the Constitution and Bill of Rights states the following, "We, the people.." and "All men are created equal." If Bond wants to stick to the "true" meaning of the Constitution then those words are meant for rich, white male land owners, because other than that group, no one could vote, etc at the time. AND if it were not for "radical" judges who wanted to be inclusive, the Civil Rights acts of the 60s and 70s would NEVER have happen. No law in this land is ever written out of the kindness of anyones heart. They are written to protect people from people like Bond.

For her sake, I hope that she never finds herself in a situation where she needs some empathy and compassion, because I'm not going to have any for her or the rest of her despicable party.

One more reason that Obama HAS to win on Tuesday. The current crop of Republican politicians clearly don't think we're human. Thankfully we have SOME judges (not nearly enough) who understand otherwise.
